Pastor Dean Warner was born and raised in Mason County, WV.
At the age of 6 he was saved and began his life of following the Lord. He was a member of Jordan Baptist Church in Gallipolis Ferry, WV throughout his childhood and young adult life. He graduated from Point Pleasant High School in 1987.
After a few semesters at Marshall University in Huntington, WV he began his career with Exide Corporation in 1989. In 1991, Dean surrendered his life to preach the gospel. In 1992 he married his wonderful bride, Jennifer. In 1993 the Lord took Dean and Jennifer to the Cross Lanes, WV area with Exide. There they became active in the Cross Lanes Baptist Church.
In 1995 the Lord, through Dean's job at Exide, took them to Louisville, KY. It was there they had their first child, Celeste Rose. During their three years in Louisville, Dean, Jennifer and baby Celeste became active in the Hillsdale Baptist Church.
In 1998, their family returned to Mason County when Dean became a District Manager for Exide. While in the process of moving, Mercerville Baptist Church in Mercerville, OH contacted Dean about filling their pulpit while they looked for a Pastor. While helping the Church, God made it clear that Dean was called to Pastor the Church. While having opportunities to preach and potentially Pastor other Churches, Mercerville was the first Dean ever felt God's call to Pastor.
In 1999 the Warner family grew again. This time God gave them a son, Elijah Dean. In 2000 the family officially became "buckeyes" by moving to Gallia County, OH to get closer to the Church. In 2002, after 13 years with Exide, God called the Warner Family to full time ministry at Mercerville Baptist.
On July 1,2007 New Hope Bible Baptist Church contacted Dean about becoming our Pastor. Having preached several revivals at New Hope, both Dean and the Church were familiar with one another. After much prayer and consideration, God made it clear to Dean and the Church that He was bringing us together. So, after nearly 10 years of wonderful ministry, Dean resigned as Pastor of Mercerville Baptist Church. Dean's first Sunday as Pastor of New Hope was August 12, 2007. |
